“Strategic HR and Leadership Development”
Brad Benson, M.S.
Organizations have inherent abilities to learn that are often overlooked by corporate leaders and HR professionals. In this presentation methods will be shared that have worked across industries for integrating leadership development efforts with the development of company strategy. Areas to be covered are:

Biography
Brad has spent much of his career at Intel Corporation, the world’s largest semiconductor company, where he led the executive development team and was responsible for the corporate strategy process. While there he also held positions in IT, manufacturing and human resources.
Brad specializes in applying executive development methods to the development of corporate strategy. While at Intel, Brad was asked by its CEO to run the corporate strategy process using methods used during executive development programs. This role came out of the realization that Intel’s executive programs were regularly producing innovative and adoptable ideas.
Brad has done extensive work with executive teams and consulting organizations around the world. He is an accomplished speaker and facilitator. He has been an adjudicator for the American Society for Training & Development annual awards since 2007. Prior to Intel Brad ran a small training consulting business, lived abroad for two years doing volunteer work and briefly worked in the United States Senate.
Brad holds a Master of Science Degree in Instructional Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Utah State University.

Dr. Timothy R. Clark
Dr. Clark will address some break-through concepts and tools for leaders who are charged to lead critical change initiatives in their organizations. Participants will come away with a more strategic understanding of the change process, but they will also take away some practical tools for tactical-level application that will provide immediate value and impact to the organizations.
Biography
Timothy Clark is a leading authority in the fields of leadership, change, and employee engagement. He is the author of the critically claimed book, Epic change: How to Lead Change in the Global Age (John Wiley/Jossey-Bass), which CEO refresher named the top management book on the subject of change of 2008. Stephen R. Covey calls Epic Change “absolutely brilliant material,” and Dave Ulrich of the University of Michigan calls it a “neo-classic.” Dr. Clark is also the author of The Leadership Test: Will You Pass? (Oxoniam Press 2009), which Christopher Germann at Gartner Research calls “Simple, elegant, and profound.” His forthcoming book is titled “Own Your Own Engagement.” Dr. Clark also writes a syndicated column for the Deseret News titled “On Leadership.”
Dr. Clark consults, trains and speaks to leaders in many organization. He possesses an approachable style that allows leaders to challenge themselves and experience the exhilaration of pushing to their outer limits.

Dr. Clark earned a doctor’s degree in International Politics and Social Science from Oxford University, and was both a Fullbright and British Research Scholar. He also earned a master’s degree in Government and Economics from the University of Utah. As an undergraduate at Brigham Young University, he was named a first-team Academic All-American football player where he completed a triple degree.
Dr. Clark’s leadership experience is extensive. He was previously President and CEO of Decker, a consulting firm based in San Francisco, and CEO of Novations SDC, a consulting and training firm based in Boston. Prior to these assignments, Dr. Clark spent several years in manufacturing and as a vice president of operations and plan manager of a large manufacturing facility. He began his career as a survey research project director for what is now Harris Interactive in Washington, D.C. Dr. Clark has worked as a staff intern for the United States Senate, taught as an adjunct professor at Brigham Young University, and lectured as part of the Oxford Conclave on global ethics.
