Biography

Alan Fine has spent the last 25 years helping people from all walks of life to improve performance and maximize their potential.  He is a best-selling author, performance expert, keynote speaker, and the founder and president of InsideOut Development-a professional services firm dedicated to helping individuals and organizations achieve breakthrough performance.

Considered by many to be one of the fathers of the modern executive-coaching movement, Alan is co-creator of the world-renowned performance model known as GROW.  He is author of the best-selling book, You Already Know How to Be Great, which is based on the premise that a few simple yet powerful tools can help anyone to quickly and dramatically improve performance.

Alan began his career as a professional tennis coach and has successfully coached world-class athletes such as David Feherty, Colin Montgomerie, Phillip Price, Stephen Ames, and many other Ryder Cup and PGA champions.  He has been a contributing columnist for Golf International Magazine and author of, InsideOut Golf and Play to Win Golf (with David Feherty).

In addition to being used by top athletes, Alan’s unique and highly effective “inside-out” approach to performance improvement has been used to successfully coach CEOs, managers, and leaders in organizations worldwide.  Clients of InsideOut Development include many of the most well-respected companies in the world, including IBM, Proctor & Gamble, Sprint, Yum Brands, GAP, Honeywell, Oracle, Thomson Reuters, General Electric, and many others.
