Hal is an executive coach and leadership consultant. For more than three decades, Hal has coached and developed leaders and ensures leaders and organizations achieve their greatest potential. His expertise was developed leading high growth companies as a C-level executive where he created cultures of performance, leadership & execution excellence.

Hal created The Breakthrough Mindset (www.thebreakthroughmindset.com) as a tool to enable business leaders to identify and change stubborn behaviors that are limiting their future. The Breakthrough Mindset empowers a person to shed past stories and identities (including stories of success) that are holding them back and keeping them from their infinite potential.

Hal serves as Executive in Residence at the Center for Strategic Leadership at the University of Utah Eccles School of Business and has been a guest lecturer at the University of Utah, BYU and UVU.

Previously he has led the people and finance functions at JUMP Software as CFO and from 2011 to 2018 was Chief People Officer at Infusionsoft where he oversaw culture, leadership development, and human resources and enabled the growth from $20 million to $100+ million in revenues and from 170 to 650+ employees. He developed and scaled culture initiatives that resulted in Infusionsoft being named by Fortune Magazine and Great Places to Work as one of the 100 Best Workplaces for Women, one of the 100 Best Workplaces for Millennials and 13th best medium-sized company. Throughout his career, he has been a culture architect and evangelist that unifies and connects people and culture to business strategy.

Hal received the Utah HR Achievement Award in 2019. He has proven that to create great companies you hire the best and create the conditions for them to be their best. Hal began his career as an investment banker, working in New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco. As a father of four, he spent two decades coaching his kids in a variety of youth sports and today enjoys music, adventure cycling, snowboarding and surfing.
